A Swede in Montpellier
Bonjour!
My name's Joel, I'm 29 years old and I come from Sweden. I arrived in Montpellier pretty recently and I'm not sure if there's any kind of VTT-'club' in this town. So I'll try this forum :-)
I'd love to start with some mountain biking. I have basically no experience but I consider myself in pretty good shape (leg-wise;) as I run 2-3 times a week. But I miss something more action filled (and the running routes/parks in this town are to be honest pretty lousy)
I saw on utagawavtt.com that there are lots of vtt trails / routes in this area. The thing is, I have no idea which are well suited for beginners, or which are good or bad.
My other problem is that I'll only be here for 3 more weeks so buying a mountain bike seems a bit off.
So my question is if anyone knows where I can rent a decent bike, and also if somebody would like to accompany a beginner to some routes around town?
Ps I have a car if that's necessary
Ps2: Je suis desole que je écris en anglais, mais j'espère que vous pouvez comprends anyway. Je parle un petit peu français, mais je pense c'est très difficile. :-)
Ps3: Completely off-topic but I'm a musician, and you can hear some stuff here: www.soundcloud.com/storytelling :)
A bientôt!
Joel
